<image:caption>Cartier A Russia native and a global citizen, I graduated from the Moscow State University, where I majored in International Relations & Global Studies with a strong focus on the sustainable development. Driven by my genuine interest in the luxury industry I pivoted my academic researches towards the sector to chart my career trajectory. I joined Cartier as a Marketing & Communication Assistant 10 years ago while finishing my studies and since then gained a multifaceted experience inside the Maison primarily in PR & communications. Today I’m an International University Engagement Senior Project Manager at Cartier, prior to that I spent 7 years across different roles in Russia, Ukraine & CIS region. As an art & culture enthusiast, I enjoy exploring new creative territories and am constantly seeking new ways to enrich my aesthetic intellect. I can’t imagine my life without travelling that is an ultimate source of inspiration for me and a window into different cultures and mindsets. My interests are 360 degrees and span a plethora of topics - geopolitics, corporate communication, blockchain, AI, circular economy and, yes, I’m a fan of all things French! At Gen Z Observatory I’m keen on working on the purpose-driven framework and identifying the best ways to resonate with Gen Z non-binary mindset and values.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Sharing my homes in Bangkok and Stockholm, I have always been interested in the diversity of people and more specifically the people around myself as a Gen Z:er. Starting as a youth politician and national board member at an international NGO at 15 years old, I sought to engage in debates that drive Gen Z questions forward. For me, debunking the notion of Gen Z as a one-sided generation has been the main objective - due to the diverse spectrum that the generation is carrying. I am currently an undergraduate student in Management at ESCP, and I previously lived in Paris and am currently based in Turin. I have primarily worked in investments as a Venture Capital Analyst in Dubai to further drive the growth of promising tech start-ups in underserved markets. I also work part-time as a strategy- and management consultant on a freelance basis to advise a Fortune 100 company and a pharmaceutical company with business intelligence and market strategy. The lack of Gen Z founded companies being able to scale beyond the seed stage, as well as the financial uncertainty that many Gen Z faces in their personal finance is a question I hold very dearly. My research at Cartier-ESCP-HEC Observatory has so far included Gen Z finance, the concept of love on the digital sphere, and relevant industry verticals for Gen Z on the job market. One key learning that has derived from my research at the observatory is that while it is difficult to explain an entire generation’s view on a topic, keeping a nuanced and holistic view is pivotal to avoid confirmation bias. There is not always an answer, but there are indeed observations that may be synthesized.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School After graduating as an engineer from the Mines de Saint Etienne specializing in Industrial Engineering, I wanted to broaden my skills by entering a business school and becoming an ESCP student was the best way to do so. Thanks to my apprenticeship during the engineering school, I gained real professional experience during 3 years within the PSA Group, in the "Industrialization Vehicle Assembly" department. There, I developed technical and organizational skills, working on an industrial project. During my first internship I worked as an assistant to the project manager. The project we were working on was to reorganize the distribution of raw materials for Chanel's fashion department on a global scale. During my second internship, I stepped in the marketing industry as product manager assistant for traditional watches at Cartier, in the French marketing department. Working for the HEC-ESCP-CARTIER Chair as a curator during the past 6 months was a great opportunity to develop knowledge concerning GenZ and challenges related to this generation, with a pluricultural and motivated team. My extra-professional activities such as scouting, competitive cycling or consultant for the ESCP Junior Entreprise have enabled me to develop a sense of teamwork but also a culture of performance, alone or with others. Finally, I am passionate about the automotive and watchmaking industries and my goal is to be an actor in these fields.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School I am Martina Bersani and I recently graduated from ESCP Business School, from the Master in Management program with a specialization in sustainability and innovation. I come from Italy but I moved to France in 2017, where my career in the sustainable fashion and luxury industry started. Prior to this experience, I lived and studied in Venice, Amsterdam and Berlin, where I saw different cultures, heritage and people, and I was inspired to make an impact in the world. I am convinced that analyzing new trends, understanding various perspectives and building communities can help us improve the world of tomorrow. <image:caption>ESCP Business School Hello! I'm Prachi from India, and I'm currently a final year Master in Management student at ESCP Business School. Having lived in Paris and London, along with multiple cities in India, I'm super interested in how marketing concepts and creative business solutions translate across cultures. With the Cartier-ESCP-HEC Gen-Z Observatory, I've been able to explore this through an additional perspective - that of generational differences. I've previously worked with impact-driven organizations in France, USA, and India, led volunteering efforts for helping underprivileged students with financing opportunities and academic tutoring, and worked as an editor for multiple publications. When I'm not working, I spend my time either reading (especially philosophy and science fiction), or gushing over how brilliant Ursula K. Le Guin is, or falling through Wikipedia rabbit-holes. <image:caption>ESCP Business School My name is Sylvie Rood and I am currently a student at ESCP receiving a MSc in Marketing and Creativity. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and began my career in the arts as a ballet dancer, working my way from Lincoln Center to a career at the San Francisco Ballet. There I learned the value of artistic expression and the importance of self-discipline. During this time, I developed an interest in design and my ballet experience gave me a unique understanding of the interaction between clothing and movement and the transformative effects that fashion can have upon an individual. After receiving a fashion design degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, I worked with luxury fashion houses in women’s wear. Design opened a world of opportunities for creation that is both deeply rooted in societal conversations, logistical challenges, and innovative possibilities. I continued to be involved in the dance world, but this time as an independent costume designer for ballet companies across the United States. I created a brand that catered to professional dancers and allowed me to explore an entrepreneurial mindset and delve into brand creation. My current studies in marketing have allowed me to continue this story and incorporate worlds beyond dance. The ability to explore societal needs and connect on a humanistic level through shared stories is a venture I am looking forward to continuing.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School I was raised in a home where the two cultures - arts and science - were always present. After spending formative years at a performing school for classical music and arts, a part of my personality that was more practically oriented guided me towards the fields of business. Later experiences within project management further fueled my interest for organisation and collaboration, and my last internship within Global Operations at Ericsson allowed me to follow an organisational transition into more agile ways of working. Change was a recurring theme in both experiences, and I learnt how understanding our environment is crucial in order to lead change forward and face the challenges and opportunities faced by my generation. I’m currently pursuing my bachelor degree in Business Management at ESCP, moving across campuses in three different European countries. Being Swedish and Hungarian, this diverse cultural exchange resonates with my interest in people and communication, as seen and understood through both art and business. I find myself in the intersection of these two fields, and believe that an understanding of how we work as humans stand in the center of both.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Hello everyone! My name is Anouk Rubinstein. Currently 2nd year in the bachelor of management at ESCP, I am a nineteen-years-old-enthusiastic, driven by passion, justice and knowledge. Powerful voices have always inspired me, from the words of Gisèle Halimi to the vocal cords of Lauryn Hill ; it is how they used their voices that created an impact. Being part of this group makes me want to use my voice and at the same time, change my perception. We meet without expectations nor judgment, this project shows that discussion and debate are the source of evolution, “the important thing is not to stop questioning, curiosity has its own reasons for existing”- A. Einstein. We are a team of field investigators digging, observing, questioning, explaining, analyzing, understanding, creating. That is why, I aspire to be inspired, living in an era where complexity is normality and communication is digitalisation. As a Gen Z I feel that we touch subjects that are at the very essence of today’s society. We are the generation that wears the final letter of the alphabet as a flag for change.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Hello everyone! I am Arianna, a current third year BSc student at ESCP Business School. I grew up in Italy and at the age of 15 I decided to move to a boarding school in England to finish my high school studies. There I had the opportunity to develop my passion in the world of Art and in the art market, as Economics and Art were at the core of my IB studies. After completing my IB I decided to attend a BSc at ESCP Business School, as the degree offers a wide application of management in liberal arts and humanities. During my degree I studied in a different country throughout all three years: London, Madrid, and Berlin. Not only did this require me to learn French, Spanish and German, on top of my native Italian, it also encouraged adaptation to a variety of cultures. These three years at ESCP helped me understand that I am particularly interested in the interaction between creativity, innovation, and strategic management. To further expand this passion, I attended a course at Institut Français de la Mode called ‘Understanding Fashion: from business to culture’. I enjoyed learning about the cultural and commercial aspects of fashion. Additionally, my ambition in strategic management has been strengthened by my Internship at PwC’s innovation hub in Sentiment analysis and Consumer intelligence. This internship allowed me to create technology-based solutions that complemented consultancy firms to provide value to clients. I focused on building ad-hoc client strategies by intertwining a creative thinking with big data extrapolation, with the help of innovative tools powered by machine learning. The duality of my creative side and my analytical thinking made my research a possibility to fully express my personality in a professional environment. Therefore, I feel extremely enthusiastic for the opportunity to join the Turning Point Research Chair team.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris I'm from South Korea, and currently studying in HEC Paris, MBA program. Before entering the school, I worked as a marketer in cosmetics industry. Back then, I had good opportunities to observe and study people’s behavior: how they change their actions or minds gradually, how the different brand, price, or design impact on their decision making etc. Among those experiences, it was certainly interesting to witness how “sustainability” had become a critical factor for cosmetics; this phenomenon was barely seen when I started working in 2016, but now it takes the most important part for almost every brand and country in cosmetics sector. In this big movement, I could see lots of different dots such as self-esteem, animal rights, and COVID are eventually connected and made a big circle to aim a greener planet. Hence, I know, and believe that just small changes in our behaviors can ultimately have a big impact on the society when it becomes collective one. And that is the reason why I wanted to be part of Gen Z Observatory where I can observe and foresee how our beloved young generation want the world to become.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris I’m Lebanese and I recently moved to Paris to join X-HEC entrepreneurs. Being Lebanese in itself carries an essence of belonging to so many different places & being exposed to numerous cultures all at once. Moreover, exploring various cities has definitely impacted my perception of things ranging from the mundane to the controversial. Along the way, I developed a love for art & creation. Growing up in the Middle East meant being opinionated, proactive, & taking a stance regarding everything that’s happening around me. Belonging to that part of the world meant not having the luxury of neutrality. And I think that’s where it all started - fueling me to delve deeper - to strive to understand why things are the way they are & how they came to be. Being a Gen Z-er myself, I believe we all, including myself, have a distorted view of this generation. Regardless, it has undeniably driven so much change to how things are done & consumed. Being a content curator for the Gen Z Observatory was a clear opportunity for collaboration & exploration of different topics, to understand how they influence & are influenced.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School My name is Julien Wagner and I am a student in the Marketing & Communication master’s program at ESCP business school in Paris. With a passion for the world of luxury, particularly watchmaking and jewellery, I have had the opportunity to work for two years in prestigious maisons such as Boucheron, Cartier, Piaget and Baccarat. I love discovering new cultures & having diverse experiences. I developed my international mindset when I decided to move to New York for a six month work-study exchange program. My curiosity also manifests itself in my desire to stay culturally aware and engaged in a global society. I actively take interest in following the different initiatives and activities brands are pursuing, always seeking to identify tomorrows trends, especially through the rise of social media platforms. As such, I decided to join the Turning Point Research Chair team, which will allow me to not only broaden my own skills, but also create new & exciting initiatives with them for the future. I believe today more than ever, organizations must provide a true meaning to their activities & pursue them with a purpose. Leading companies can no longer exist by simply engaging in transactional business activities. To truly succeed in today’s world, they must contribute a true value to society.</image:caption>

As long as I can recall, I've always been drawn to the world of luxury. I am fascinated by this unique industry, which combines more than any other, innovation and tradition, national pride and international business. This is why I joined the Cartier Gen Z Observatory as Content Curator. I firmly believe this industry is driven by a particular attention to details and client expertise and it is key to be able to understand the future needs and trends that the Gen Z will face. Last year, I had the chance to go on exchange at Keio University and to travel all over Japan. This experience had a significant impact on me and broadened my understanding of a wide range of topics. Reflecting on Gen Z seems to be a real chance to put into perspective our biased views on our conflicted generation. I’m also really excited to share this experience with ESCP students!</image:caption>

At each of those organizations, I have led several key initiatives with business-wide economic effect, while developing strong interpersonal skills as well as deep, industry-specific expertise. I am deeply passionate about leading teams, projects, and products within the digital finance, e-commerce, and sustainability sectors. I am deeply grateful to have been selected as a Researcher for the Gen Z Observatory, especially considering the hundreds of applicants from HEC and ESCP, leading European business schools. Working with such talented individuals during my time at the Observatory has been a true pleasure.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Hello! My name is Quanfu Wang and I am currently an undergraduate student at ESCP Europe in the Bachelor in Management program. Having travelled across very different continents, I developed the interest of flying the drone and using the camera to record different sceneries, as well as taking a deeper look into everything around me to analyse the era we stand our feet in. Having the opportunity to travel, live and study in different countries from the East to the West, and after experiencing cultural shocks again and again, I came across a lot about the differences people have. But what I really learned, by knowing both sides of the coin, is that despite all the differences and artificial barriers, people are not different as we share the same hearts, fears, hopes and dreams. Having worked for Euromonitor as an analyst intern, I developed a data-driven mindset as I understood how data is collected, processed and analysed. I love how data organises and visualises information to support business operation and decision-making. I can’t wait to be a part of Cartier-ESCP-HEC Gen Z Observatory, and provide a colourful and realistic portrait of my peers of my generation!</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School I am Shambhavi Gujar and I’m an MSc. Marketing student at HEC Paris. I originally hail from Pune, India and I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Statistics at King’s College London. Having spent half of my childhood in India and the other half in the UK, I have experienced the best of both worlds. I got to appreciate the culture and tradition in my home country while capitalising on the educational and professional opportunities offered abroad. I learnt to quickly adapt to new situations and develop a deep respect for varying opinions and beliefs. I would very much like to further build on these skills and being a content curator for Cartier helps me do so effectively. Data collection and analysis also keeps me in touch with my quantitative background and I thoroughly enjoy creating aesthetic but engaging infographics and presentations. I am particularly interested in studying the growing Luxury markets in developing economies like India, where the GenZ perspective is extremely relevant as about half of the population is below the age of 25. In my free time, I like to sing, photograph and cook. I am also a huge fan of Bollywood movies and music!</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris Hello Everyone! I am a MBA student in Tsinghua University (“THU”) and am currently going for a double degree in HEC Paris specialized in Strategic Marketing. I’ve got a financial background with four years’ work experience as an auditor. During the time, I served clients from cultural media, internet and technology, e-commerce, and many other industries. And during the first year of my MBA study in THU, I experienced a couple of different job roles including investment management in venture capital and animation producer in Alibaba Entertainment. Finance background equipped me with logic and analytical skills, while working, communicating, and empathizing with different people holds big attraction to me from time to time. The Gen Z Observatory is a fantastic program for me to connect my dots and develop a more comprehensive understanding on this representative group of people who work hard and play harder and have their own expectation for their own life and world.</image:caption>

I was then offered a permanent position as a designer in 2013 in the Accessories Design Studio; I had the opportunity to contribute and be an integral part of Cartier’s rich and diverse world of unique gifts and objects.

<image:caption>HEC Paris I’m from Morocco and currently in pursuit of a Dual Master’s degree between HEC Paris and Sciences Po, studying Management and Public Policy.

Recently, I started pursuing the Bachelor in Management degree at ESCP, as well as my diploma of specialization in (Ethical) Business Strategy at Harvard Business School. Throughout this time, I have specialized in e-commerce, wealth management and fintech by starting businesses both in the UK & Spain, as well as working in a number of European companies. Joining the Gen Z Observatory is a great pleasure for me, I am looking forward to meeting all of the incredible people that I will be continuously collaborating with during the upcoming future! In addition to this initiative, I am currently volunteering as a Mentor at Financial Times Talent, a Technical director at TEDxESCP as well as a Delegate representing the European Youth Parliament in Spain and internationally.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris I’m from Morocco and currently in pursuit of a Dual Master’s degree between HEC Paris and Sciences Po, studying Management and Public Policy.

Prior to this, I was working at IWC Schaffhausen and several fashion and sports brands. I did my Master studies in International Marketing Management at ESADE Business School in Barcelona and my Bachelor in Business Administration in Germany and the US. Growing up in the Bavarian Alps, I have always been a big sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to mountain sports: from trail running, to climbing, to ski mountaineering! I was then offered a permanent position as a designer in 2013 in the Accessories Design Studio; I had the opportunity to contribute and be an integral part of Cartier’s rich and diverse world of unique gifts and objects. I joined the Leather Goods Design Studio in 2018 working on the ‘soft products’ of the Maison; this gave me an opportunity to broaden my product knowledge and acquire skills in another area of expertise. <image:caption>HEC Paris Growing up, I had an obsession with storytelling. From spending my childhood writing essays about the world around us to devoting my high school years to competitive debating, I have always been passionate about discovering new insights no matter the topic and sharing them with everyone I meet. Since then, I’ve represented my home country, the Philippines, twice in international competitions, L’Oréal Brandstorm in Paris and Maybank Go Ahead Challenge in Kuala Lumpur, where I was able to make friends from all over the world and where I was able to learn completely new stories — those different from my own. Through these opportunities, I’ve learned firsthand about the power of diversity in shaping our global future. I then became a Junior Product Manager for L’Oréal. For three years, I discovered their story of beauty, and I was also able to work with regional and global teams to bring to life brand strategies and innovations that stayed true to insights on our consumers. I also became interested in the way that social media creates a spectrum of narratives all at once, so I decided to become a social media manager for several brands to truly understand the culture. Now, as a Masters in Management student at HEC Paris, I’m learning about how to tell stories with data and how to change narratives with the power of product innovations. In my spare time, I still think about storytelling with my creative pursuits, such as taking photos with my point-and-shoot camera.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Being Franco-Algerian, and having later lived in various countries such as the UK and Spain allowed me to relentlessly question my environment, be curious of others and be open to challenge my cultural bias. I am passionate about understanding how people interact with each other, why they do what they do and what inspires them. I have worked professionally as an actor and I particularly enjoyed putting myself in other people’s shoes, exploring the prism through which they see the world as well as working creatively and collaboratively towards a common goal. I am currently an MBA Candidate at ESCP, studying in two different European countries. Led by a strong belief in the power of both community and story-telling, I have previously graduated from a bachelor’s degree in Politics, European Studies from King’s College London and an MFA in Professional Acting from LAMDA. The duality of my analytical thinking along with my artistic creativity has allowed me to explore different paths in my career, constantly enriching me with new perspectives while meeting people from different horizons along the way. For the past four years, I have worked as a communication consultant to leaders in both the private and public sectors supporting disruptive projects with a positive impact on society. I am ecstatic to be joining the Turning Points Chair. The Observatory is an enlightening opportunity to observe, explore and reflect on the stakes that Gen Z faces today and the plurality of its voices. <image:caption>ESCP Business School I’m a nineteen-year-old French student currently pursuing a master degree in ESCP Business School, more precisely in pre-Master after two years of classe préparatoire, in order to work in the fashion industry as a consultant. I find myself to be highly moved by the idea of understanding my peers and capturing through a refined and accurate lens the plurality of existing identities and grids of lectures of the world, especially by way of social interactions, discussions and debates, hence the reason as to why I applied for the Observatory. This purpose led me, for instance, to create an instagram account, in 2019, on which I was able to interact with my 30k followers from all over the world about diverse trendy topics linked to politics, Art, or even celebrities, and which deeply transformed my approach of the world surrounding me, sharpening my wish to discover different cultures and people. My project to work in the fashion industry also appears to be deeply related to that will to better comprehend beings, as fashion has been playing a major role in structuring the imaginary related to presentation and performance throughout ages, whether when it comes to gender, to self-awareness, to concepts such as beauty and perfection, and eventually to our core characteristics as conscious and minded individuals. Thus, the opportunity to contribute to the Turning Points Chair is very precious to me, giving me room to analyse and explore a plurality of subjects, topics and visions to fulfil such a purpose. As a member of Gen Z myself, I utterly look forward the shedding light on the new dynamics impulsed by our generation, and by extension our incidence on social structures and paradigmes!</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Born and raised in China, seeking education in France, I am currently a Master in Management student at ESCP, specializing in marketing and consulting. Prior to ESCP, my professional profile is immersed in marketing and strategies, ranging from internships at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China to Tesla and PwC. Driven by a huge passion for beauty and luxury, I will start my next internship at L’Oréal. Juggling from industries, these experiences have equipped me with adaptability and know-how to analyze tendencies in different walks of life. As an admirer of antiques and jewelry, I have attended gemstone and Chinese ceramic appreciation courses and I enjoy watching documentaries before going to museums to have a closer look at these artworks. Having a profound interest in trends of intercultural and cross-generational changes, as a GenZ myself, I want to explore this socially responsible and mentally honest generation’s feelings, preferences, and status quo, aside from the stereotypes that have been imposed. By joining Cartier - ESCP- HEC Paris Gen Z Observatory, I am ready to discover variously-themed research topics, with fellow curators of diverse backgrounds.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris I’m Inès Le Chatelier and I am a second year HEC Paris student, doing a double-diploma with l’ENS. Indeed, after my classe préparatoire, I spent three years in l’ENS before joining HEC Paris. During these years, I had the opportunity to travel a lot, discover many cultures and meet tons of wonderful people. I had the opportunity to work in several press services in French embassies across the world, handling their social media and communication strategies. To me, understanding the challenges my generation faces and the aspirations we share, is crucial, no only to developing efficient and targeted communication strategies, but also to better assert the world we live in. I’m extremely proud of being part of the Gen Z Observatory team and hope our work will prove useful to many!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier Originally from India, I moved to the United States 11 years ago to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Jewelry & Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design. Upon graduating, my roles led me to direct product strategy and development for IDD USA, a jewelry wholesaler catering to independent retailers. I later worked on business strategy consulting roles for Tiary, a direct-to-consumer jewelry startup, as well as Pandora, Perry Ellis and the Fifth Avenue Association. My interest in the Fashion & Luxury space was fueled by my love for jewelry and eventually led me to graduate school where I received an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, specializing in Fashion & Luxury, Marketing and Business Analytics. I joined Cartier 9 months ago as Project Manager and Business Strategist at the Brooklyn Retail Innovation Lab in North America. I currently lead project research, interviews and insights gathering for all Lab projects, as well as oversee the design and facilitation of Lab workshops and boutique prototype planning. On a personal level I have an interest in behavioral psychology and how it impacts social dynamics in society (I did a Psychology concentration in Undergrad). I would describe myself as a compassionate team player and deep thinker. I am excited to be part of such a diverse community and look forward to getting to know my international peers!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier My name is Benjamin, and I currently work as Head of Data Science and Analytics at Cartier. I joined 4 years ago after spending 5 years in Paris working in consulting firms and in a startup, for different industries such as automotive, energy and accessibility for deaf people. I didn’t know a lot about luxury before joining Cartier but I got hooked by this whole new world of opportunities for data use cases : from imagining new retail experiences to optimizing the supply chain, we cover a wide range of topics in my team by applying state-of-the-art algorithms to enhance client experience and allow our colleagues to take better and faster decisions. People often think that data and AI are recent while in fact they are not: what is recent though is our capability to exploit these data in order to drive the business. Though profiles inside my team are very diverse they all require the same dual skills: to be technically proficient as well as being good communicators. I guess that’s what makes our jobs so fascinating : we can read and write algorithms developed by Google or Facebook, and in the meantime explain them in layman terms to non-technical audiences. When outside of the office, you might see me riding my bike in the Swiss alps or playing the guitar, or even reading a novel with a glass of Scotch next to me. Because data and literature are, in the end, both about how to tell stories.</image:caption>

My college major was fabric design, and I had several internships in fashion companies, including fast fashion, high end concept boutiques, and traditional luxury brands. That’s the beginning of my career. In my leisure time, I enjoy dancing and tennis. I’m also running a small on-line vintage shop during weekend days, this is my hobby and I have continue doing this for five years. By now I have gathered a group of loyal customers. I have traveled in many small, third-tier cities in China during business trip within Cartier wholesale channel. Getting to explore the consumption habit and cultural differences among these cities, as well as the business trending of watch and jewelry in those small cities. Then, I moved to Switzerland to study Hospitality Management specialized in Finance and Real Estate, where I had the opportunity to study as well as to work in different cities; Dubai, London and Miami for internship and exchange programs. As you could tell from my background, I love to explore new places with particular interests in arts, architectures and nature. The recent trip to Oman was perfect as it ticked all the boxes for me. <image:caption>Cartier I am Rodrigo Mariani. I am a brand ambassador at the Latin American Client Relations Center in Miami. Firstly, I'm thrilled to participate in an innovative global project with Cartier, ESCP, and HEC Paris. My career is multifaceted. I am a lawyer with a postgraduate degree in international law –Specialist from the Catholic University of São Paulo, PUC-SP. Before obtaining a law degree, I worked as an ESOL teacher. After passing the Brazilian Bar Exam, I defended clients, primarily in Brand Reputation Lawsuits. I also worked with social media in PR and CS roles. In the US, I transitioned to retailing at Macy's, Apple, and, fortunately, Cartier, always in trilingual customercentered positions. At Cartier Client Relation Center, we're accountable for providing excellent service through social media, phone, and email to all clients. To do so, we study their shopping behavior and motives. We educate clients about our brand and celebrate uniqueness and timelessness through storytelling. I believe is part of Cartier identity to find beauty in the diversity and complexity of cultures and nature throughout the world; We also explores ways to communicate with different generations for this reason. Before Sao Paulo became my second home, I was born in a capital in Brazil's Amazon region. I used to enjoy bicycling through the parks while listening to a self-curated playlist and admiring nature. This hobby always left me in awe of the Amazon's biodiversity. It's amazing how unique nature is as an organic system with exotic fruits, animals, and lovely trees’ design. We employ biomimicry in technology and even art for a reason. Every generation absorbs, transforms, and creates innovations that improve business fields and are signs of human progress. I think Cartier has a similar philosophy ingrained in its heritage and ideals. I’m fascinated by the fact that our pioneer Santos Watch is a work that mixes the flourishing Industrial Time in Paris and allusions to the Brazilian Aviator Santos Dumont into a remarkable masterpiece. After the pandemic, we're on the cusp of a new age; with established technology, we're exploring digital payments, new consumer methods and trends. Gen Z will dominate many markets in a few years; they embrace new types of consumption, have high civic consciousness, and are vital to our future. That's a fascinating social phenomenon, and Cartier, regardless of the decade or generation, knows how to keep celebrating uniqueness splendidly. I'm eager to learn more about Gen Z through this great team project!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria - a city I left almost a decade ago but still feel extremely connected to. Growing up in a home where art, music and literature were the epicenter of family conversations has shaped who I am and where I am going. Ever since I remember, I was drawn to aesthetics, stories and cultures from around the world. After graduating high school I moved to Paris followed by Shanghai to pursue my studies. There I had the opportunity to join leading Maisons that offered me a vertical insight to the global luxury industry and fostered my passion for the world of Design. I completed my Master’s degree in International Business and joined Cartier in September 2020. Currently, I am based in Dubai overseeing Cartier’s Operations in Africa and Levant. I strongly believe in the power of inspiring Maisons like Cartier, whose core values are to drive change in business, society and culture by uniting tradition and innovation. On my journey through this fast paced life, I consider that the most important thing is to be present and to remain curious while questioning everything and practicing self-awareness. “Get out of this room, go somewhere, anywhere. Sharpen this feeling of happiness and freedom, stretch your limbs, fill your eyes, be awake, wider awake, vividly awake in every sense and every pore.” - The Post Office Girl by Stefan Zweig.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Engineer by degree, humanist by adoption, I have always tried to reconcile these two seemingly distant disciplines. I realized that they could coexist when, during my internship at CERN, a physicist advised me to read a novel by Joseph Conrad before choosing a university. Since then, it has been my ritual before every important decision, and when I went to Denmark for my undergraduate degree, I read Lord Jim on the plane as a superstition. I'm currently doing a double degree, a Master in Management at the ESCP and a Master in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, but in my spare time and during my flights I still read and write stories. <image:caption>ESCP Business School For me, my goal is to create community wherever I go and bring people together through our similarities and in spite of our nuanced differences. As a Croatian and Ukrainian-American, I always have had a fragmented and multidimensional identity. I felt a deep sense of curiosity about the world around me and about how others perceived it. Spending my time between New York, Miami, and Dalmatia as a child, and living between Seoul, South Carolina, and Spain as an adult, I have always been exposed to a plethora of unique people, backgrounds, and experiences that shaped my thirst to learn more. In my life, I have worked in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Startups, Nonprofits, and am now a Master of Real Estate at ESCP. While I find my quantitative reasoning skills have been thoroughly developed in academic and professional pursuits, it is in conducting qualitative research and thinking critically that I feel most alive and useful. As a seasoned debater, amateur geographer, and natural extrovert, fine-tuning my qualitative research skills is where I feel most at-ease. It is for this reason that I am beyond excited to participate in the Turning Points Chair. I look forward to finding the commonalities of my generation, understanding our multifaceted identities, and making sense of our contemporary culture.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Born to a Japanese pianist mother and a French artistic director father, my artistic curiosity and my bi-culture are at the very essence of my personality, which I have been able to develop throughout my journey, currently following a master in management degree at ESCP business school, after doing a two year’s literary classe préparatoire in French literature at the lycée Henri-IV. The bi-cultural education I received developed my passion and curiosity towards Japan, through the study not only of its language but also of its history, calligraphy, theater, Haiku poetry... Therefore, I had the chance to grow up observing and studying two cultures that are geographically, culturally, and artistically different through an approach that is not exclusively Western but highlights an intersectional aspect of the humanities. Moreover, the artistic curiosity that grew with me over the years found its expression in ballet. Passionate since I was four years old, I am a former Paris Opera Ballet School dancer. I had the opportunity to participate in ballets with the company, and was amazed by the intersection of the arts: combining choreography, music, poetry, sets and costumes. Learning to dance as part of a group was an experience of exchange and communication, moving our work and creativity toward a common goal. I can't wait to be a part of the Gen Z Observatory, where we will be able to exchange perspectives from diverse cultures and backgrounds, to discover and reflect on concepts that drive our society, to grow together and understand what it is to really be part of this generation and how we are key actors to shape our futures.</image:caption>

From museums to polo grounds, I am always up to meeting new people from different cultures and different backgrounds. Awarded a bachelor in Economics from the University of St.Gallen, I now embark in a Master in Management at the ESCP. I look forward studying all over Europe, this allows me to be culturally and intellectually curious. I seize opportunities and usually make the most out of them. In such a mindset, I recently launched my consulting firm T&A Consulting and joined the Gen Z Observatory. Hit me up if you have any questions!</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC PARIS From working as an international arbitration lawyer to advising clients on Business & Human Rights issues, I have always been intellectually curious and analytical. I am passionate about solving complex problems, understanding the world around us, and making an impact. Being born and raised in Hong Kong — a vibrant city that has a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures — also allowed me to be culturally aware from a young age. Owing to the international nature of my career, I have worked and lived in London, qualified to practise law in three jurisdictions, and collaborated with colleagues and clients from across the globe. Learning from diverse perspectives and experiencing different cultures are privileges I truly value. That led to my current position as an MBA candidate at HEC Paris with a cohort of over 40 nationalities. In my spare time, I enjoy content creation on Instagram and fashion illustration. They serve as creative outlets that capture my interests in art, design, and travelling. I am exhilarated to be contributing to the Turning Points Chair. I hope to curate the plurality of views on a range of societal issues that matter, and ultimately help to shape practices in business and beyond. I very much look forward to the inspiring dialogues and fruitful collaboration with my fellow curators.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School My life has been consistently characterised by innate creativity, an insatiable curiosity about the world, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on society. While my roots lie in Italy, I have cultivated a multicultural background since I was fifteen, choosing to pursue my studies abroad. My International Management degree at King’s College London, and semester at the Wharton Business School, allowed me to develop strong business foundations and kindled my interest in marketing. I was immediately drawn to its multifaceted and creative nature, which resonates with my passion for all forms of personal expression, including art, photography, video-making, fashion, and beauty. My eagerness to be challenged and think outside of the box led me to participate in the L’Oreal Brandstorm Competition, and most remarkably, to become the first employee at a marketing consultancy start-up. After two years of closely working with luxury and lifestyle brands, I witnessed first-hand how luxury is compatible with sustainability. This solidified my aspiration to be a responsible luxury marketer and motivated me to apply for the Master’s in Marketing & Creativity at ESCP. The Gen Z Observatory marks the next significant milestone in my journey, offering an invaluable opportunity to explore generational and cultural shifts that can inspire transformative change within the luxury industry and beyond. It’s an honour to be part of this empowering initiative, as it addresses my generation’s desire to be heard, included, and engaged. I am excited to shed light on pivotal turning points and demystify the fascinating complexity of Gen Z, which is already exerting a profound influence on business and society. I look forward to immersing myself in a diverse array of perspectives and sharing this journey with fellow curious and enthusiastic individuals.</image:caption>

My curiosity to understand the dynamics that shape our society led me to study a dual bachelor’s degree in Law & Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Once graduated, I decided to pursue a Master's in Marketing at HEC Paris with a focus in luxury, as the ability of this industry to create dreams and define models, as well as the approaches of different societies towards luxury was something always very intriguing for me. After a first working experience in the field of CRM at Balenciaga, I joined Cartier two years ago as High Jewelry Clients Project Manager, where I have the chance to be involved in the clients selection and commercial preparation of the international High Jewelry events and spread the knowledge of our clients' profile to the High-End community through different tools such as dashboards & specific analyses. I've had an interest in luxury since early adolescence, so I was very glad to join Cartier in July of 2022 after graduating from university, coming from an internship in Montblanc that lasted a bit over a year in Wholesale and Retail. I'm a really curious person and very passionate about world history and different cultures. Human realities, stories and experiences different from my own is something that has always greatly fascinated me. That is one of the main reasons for the choice of my degree in International Relations, and also a big reason for joining the Gen Z Observatory.

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Born and raised in India, I grew up on a healthy diet of magical folk tales, religious myths, and all the books from my school library. It did not take long to understand that stories have power. They make blank pages worth looking at, ordinary people worth listening to, and man-made ideas worth dying for. Back then, my storytelling mediums were conventional: pen on paper, my voice on a stage, or poetry. During my Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, I found a new medium: data. I could use graphs and statistics to build structured stories out of confusing numbers. In my first job as a Business Analyst in PwC, I used Powerpoints to do the same thing. Soon, I gravitated towards the business world, and am now pursuing a Master’s in Management at ESCP. I’m here to give my stories a purpose, to use them as forces of reflection and change in the world. Particularly in the luxury industry, stories matter. Quality and beauty add value, but stories lend a soul. A handbag becomes a Birkin, or a watch becomes a Patek. Stories are how we lift the ordinary and make it memorable. As I speak, my generation is writing its own story. I wish to step in and understand where our present chapter is going, and why. Through the GenZ Observatory, I hope to put into words what the pulse of an entire generation sounds like, and be what I’ve always wanted: a storyteller.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Because of my rich Japanese and French heritage, I am shaped by a unique blend of cultures, which has become integral to me and forms the basis of my academic journey as a master in management student at ESCP Business School, currently in premaster year. Japanese arts, in particular, have deeply affected my worldview, and I grew up to be persistently curious about the world around me because of my two cultures which happen to be extremely different. Furthermore, I trained intensively as a pianist for over a decade, the majority of which was spent at a Conservatory. This musical journey has not only honed my creativity but also refined my discipline and broadened my perspective. It has given me a profound understanding of balance, the subtle interplay between music and the listeners but also how profoundly creative expression shapes one's mindset. I am thrilled and feel empowered to bring these influences to the Gen Z Observatory. Working alongside a team eager to understand the plurality of views and reflect on how we share different concepts aligns perfectly with my passion for cross-cultural insight.</image:caption>

These early experiences, along with the ups and downs of self-esteem, helped me define who I want to become: someone who strives to make the world better. This journey toward purpose led me to found a not-for-profit in high school and lead diverse teams on projects aimed at creating tangible impact, from consulting competitions to initiatives for underserved communities. Today, as I pursue my Master’s in Management at HEC Paris, my background in business development meets my commitment to social innovation. My experiences across Asia and Europe have taught me the value of empathy and resilience, as I’ve adapted to various cultures and connected with colleagues from all walks of life. These connections, paired with my work in mental health and community-building, fuel my mission: to help organizations make impactful, purpose-driven choices that resonate with the values of our generation. Through Gen Z Observatory, I’m excited to explore how we’re reshaping leadership, equity, and sustainability—bridging individual growth with collective progress to create a brighter, more inclusive future</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School My name is Janna Asghari, I am a second-year bachelor’s student at ESCP Business School in Paris with a passion for literature, cultural exploration, and meaningful research. Growing up in Dubai’s multicultural landscape, I was surrounded by an environment that celebrated diversity and shaped my view of the world, allowing me to gain an early appreciation for diverse perspectives and storytelling, which has continued to shape my journey. My commitment to literature has been recognized with two consecutive awards in school for literature and poetry, and I was honored to be a part of the Harvard Global Writing Competition. Attending Harvard Journalism initiatives allowed me to learn from esteemed journalists from CNN and BBC News, transforming my understanding of storytelling. This experience opened my eyes to the power of narratives in connecting people, fostering empathy, and addressing critical societal issues. The insights I gained there have become a driving force behind my dedication to storytelling that goes beyond words and creates bridges across cultures and generations. Athletics has been another cornerstone of my life. Since age nine, I have pursued competitive swimming, winning a silver medal at the European Championship in the 5km oceanman open water race and becoming the fifth fastest female swimmer in the oceanman World Championships. Beyond competition, I am passionate about promoting inclusivity in sports. Through volunteering with disabled children in Dubai and working in inclusive sports programs, I have seen firsthand the power of sport as a unifying force, inspiring my commitment to breaking down barriers for all athletes. As a part of the Gen Z Observatory, I am excited to contribute my experiences and insights to explore the intersection of diversity, creativity, and generational impact. We have the opportunity to amplify our generation’s voice and uncover ways in which we can meaningfully influence our communities and the world on a large scale.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Coming from Quito, Ecuador, a country full of strength, love, and energy, I have been shaped by a vibrant mix of cultures from the beginning. From the age of three, thanks to my school, I was immersed in different languages and cultures, starting with Chinese, Portuguese, and English. Learning these languages wasn’t just about words; it was about seeing the world through new lenses. At 17, I wanted to explore my limits, so I took on German by myself and moved alone to Frankfurt for a year. This incredible experience revealed my love for cultural differences and adaptability. Inspired by this, I began my Bachelor’s in Management at ESCP, studying in Paris and Turin, and now I’m completing my final year in Berlin. Over the past few years, I’ve done internships in Marketing, Sales, and Finance, taking this time to explore the fields that excite me most. I have always considered myself a lifelong fashion lover, especially drawn to the diverse world of styles and creativity in this sector. This year, I’m diving into fashion to push my limits and see how I can grow in a field I’m passionate about. Joining the Gen Z Observatory excites me because it offers a platform to apply my curiosity and international perspective in an analytical, unique, and captivating way. I believe everyone has something valuable to contribute, and I’m eager to learn from my peers as we explore the essence of our generation. Driven by optimism, I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams and am thrilled to engage in discussions that celebrate the rich diversity of Gen Z.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris Born in Serbia yet molded by the internationalism of a French education, I have aspired to fill my days with encounters that challenge and ideas that inspire. My studies, a Bachelor in Politics and Governance at SciencesPo and a degree in Economics followed by the Double Master between HEC and SciencesPo, have allowed me to fullfill that aspiration. I had the chance explore dozens of disciplines and make connections with peers from the four corners of the globe. Every part of my path- academically intersectional, culturally rich, and purposefully multidisciplinary- has taught me to deconstruct perspectives and dismantle assumptions in order to approach experiences with curiosity and critical thinking. I think that is at the core of the Turning Point Research Chair and will guide my work as content curator at the Cartier Gen Z Observatory. This is my chance to listen, deconstruct, and tell the stories that reveal the heartbeat of our shared, complex future.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School I am both Ivorian and American, having grown up in multiple African countries due to my parents' careers. After moving to the U.S. in high school, I navigated the challenges of adapting to a new culture, language, and education system. Wherever I lived, I embraced learning from different cultures and sharing my own experiences, which fueled my passion for understanding human behavior, art, and technology. These interests led me to pursue a BBA at Emory University, where I majored in marketing and strategic consulting, focusing on areas that integrate people and creativity with business strategy. I am currently pursuing an MBA in International Management at ESCP Business School, with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and how businesses can bridge cultural and technological shifts. As a content curator for the Gen Z Observatory, I am excited to explore subjects such as authenticity and interpersonal relationships in this new digital era, where the integration of intercultural awareness, and self-expression plays a crucial role in being oneself while belonging to a globalized community. It defines much of our generation’s identity. Being part of this team will allow me to discuss and debate on a variety of topics that are relevant to me and my peers. I’m Bérénice from France, the most amazing country of the world (French people are not biased), I used to live in the US, Canada, Spain and Hong Kong. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to learn new cultures, discover different mindsets and meet new people diversity, byalways bringing my “French touch”. I joined Cartier as Business Analyst in Hong Kong where I learnt dynamics of Asian luxury model, and where I became a truly Dim Sum expert. I am now the Client Performance & CRM Analyst of Cartier France. My role is transversal as everything is starting from the client : my objective is to understand who our clients are, what are they journey in the Maison, and how to recruit and retain them. I am reporting client performances, spreading client knowledge, building client treatment and clienteling synergies, and monitoring our growth opportunities. <image:caption>Cartier From a fishing village to a tech metropolis in one generation - that's not just Shenzhen's story, it's mine too. I'm the product of a city that reinvented itself faster than what you call an "economic miracle." This planted a seed of an enduring fascination: how do our environments, tangible or otherwise, shape who we are and what we dream of becoming? I carry this question with me throughout my career. From researching the art industry at Christie’s to joining Cartier's High Jewelry team, I’m fortunate to observe how aesthetics express our evolving cultural values - a visual language that both reflects and influences societal shifts. These days, you'll find me in New York, absorbing ideas from the city's diverse makers, thinkers, artists, and technologists. As a community, we're shaping and making sense of a world where the rules seem to change at every blink. I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, English (plus a growing Duolingo-streak for Spanish). Fluent in cultural code-switching, I hope to bring to the observatory a genre-bending toolkit and my perpetual curiosity about the human experience in flux. Outside of work, I'm often doodling away in my sketchbook, hunting down spots for a good bite or curled up with a good film. I've got a bit of a weakness for shiny new tools, and always chasing a perfect workflow for efficient language learning.</image:caption>

I began my Cartier journey in 2015 at our Miami Design District boutique where I gained valuable experience in operations and had the honor to join Cartier North America’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council cohort. Driven by my passion to foster sustainable impact by creating a sense of belonging for all, I relocated to New York City to progress into my current role as the Assistant Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In this role I have the pleasure of leading the DEI Council, an action-oriented group of committed employees whose mission is to advance DEI across our network and strengthen our workplace culture. I also partner with cross-functional teams to support and develop local DEI initiatives and programming. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hosting friends, and visiting the latest museum exhibits across the city. I also love curating playlists inspired by my mood. In 2017, I returned to Shanghai, taking on diverse roles from watch specialist team to strategic transformation project and strategic marketing for Cartier China, and now I'm venturing into business development. My first challenge at workplace was working in French, a language I was initially unfamiliar with, but it set the tone for my journey of continuous learning and growth. My mission, along with my team, is to supervise the development and fabrication of the high jewelry pieces realized by our partners. I’ve always worked in jewelry, from the workshop to the Maison, choosing the manufacturing side for it means working closely with the craftsmen. Manufacturing, especially in high jewelry, is a great mix of know-how, craftsmanship and Human which stimulates me and gives meaning to my job. I joined Cartier over 2 years ago as Media Executive, in charge of Offline and Online ad campaigns to create Marketing & Communication synergy. Before joining the maison, I have background in Advertising agencies starting from intern which led my career path to current position. Media is always changing and evolving, and Cartier is also the maison never stops learning and improving. Both maison and the work I do, encourage me to keep growing for the betterment. When I’m not working, I like to go outside office/home and try out different sports and hobby. Pilates, regular work out at gym keeps me to be more sustainable, and sometimes to chill in the mountains or at the beach brings more energy to my daily life. These days I’m got to have more interest in clothing (how to wear good clothes) and interior design for better surroundings, which is also for myself. Besides above, I hope to share more ideas with Gen Z observatory and looking forward to fruitful discourses with all of the members.</image:caption>

I then had the opportunity to continue my journey within the company by transitioning to Retail as a Boutique Operations Coordinator, where I have been deeply involved in the management and operational aspects of running an internal boutique. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and several years of experience working with other prestigious brands, such as Ermenegildo Zegna and BMW, which has provided me with a wealth of knowledge about the luxury business. Prior to that, I worked for the Mexican government as a Research Data Analyst, focusing on initiatives to support residents in securing proper housing and renovation credits, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030). I firmly believe that Gen Z is a driving force for change, with a strong passion for reshaping perspectives and influencing the world. Since then, I have continued to grow within this department and now, in my role as a Creative Strategic Planner, I contribute to translating the Maison’s global vision into inspiring stories and defining its communication platform for all strategic product launches and activations. This position requires constant observation of the world around us, allowing me to highlight my analytical mindset, sense of aesthetics, and creativity. My academic background, including a master’s in Branding from CELSA and a specialized master’s in Luxury Management from the Institut Français de la Mode, has also provided me with the essential tools to understand the mechanisms, trends and societal phenomena at play in the captivating world of fashion and luxury. Becoming a curator for the Gen Z Observatory is, therefore, a true opportunity for me. Confronting my daily work, which blends research, analysis, and inspiration, with issues related to our generation makes it even more relevant, personal, and meaningful. For me, this means nurturing a genuine passion for the stories, values, and creativity of the brand I work with, and sharing them with the world in the most authentic way possible. Two and a half years ago, I had the opportunity to join Cartier as Jr Digital PR and Influencer Manager. The heart of this job is relationships: building authentic connections with people, creating dialogues and telling the Maison’s stories through unique and genuine voices. I am very curious and a great observer. I love getting lost in the details, discovering the nuances of what surrounds me, and trying to uncover the stories hidden behind every image, gesture, or word. I’m excited to join the Gen Z Observatory because I deeply believe in the power of the new generation. Gen Z has a unique, fresh, and revolutionary view of the world; I’m thrilled at the idea of immersing myself in their universe, observing their behaviors, tastes, and ways of expressing themselves. <image:caption>ESCP Business School Growing up in an international environment in Brussels, with both Bulgarian and French roots, I’ve always been immersed in a blend of cultures that shaped the way I see the world. My curiosity has long revolved around the luxury and entertainment industries, not only their influence on society, but also how people perceive and interact with them. While studying law, I was quickly drawn to the business dimension and began exploring how legal frameworks intersect with luxury and particularly how innovation and new perspectives can redefine the sector. This intersection of law, business, and creativity is where I thrive, which led me to pursue a Master’s in Business Law and Management at ESCP. Our generation is powerful because we’re redefining the codes of luxury and reshaping the values that drive society. I’m eager to contribute to an initiative that amplifies these voices, especially one that fosters discussion, challenges convention, and builds leadership that respects both heritage and progress. I look forward to sharing my perspective on the evolving relationship between brands and young audiences, especially around digital perception and authenticity in the modern luxury landscape.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School I have always been fascinated by transformation, by the way people, industries and ideas reinvent themselves when change becomes inevitable. Living and studying in Singapore, Madrid and Indonesia taught me that every new environment broadens our perspective and reveals new ways of understanding how people, ideas and systems connect. This curiosity for transformation quickly became the common thread running through everything I do. I first explored it through consulting projects for start- ups, where I discovered the rigour of strategic thinking and the satisfaction of turning ideas into tangible outcomes. I later joined Hermès, where I deepened this approach by contributing to strategic and digital merchandising projects. Understanding how a Maison can innovate without betraying its identity showed me that the most lasting transformations are those that remain true to their essence. Singapore marked a real turning point for me. Immersed in an ecosystem where entrepreneurship and social impact actively reinforce one another, I realised that businesses could become genuine drivers of global change. Back in France, I joined a social enterprise accelerator to support the circular transition. I also dedicated my thesis to this topic, exploring the business models of social enterprises. Today, I am pursuing a Master’s in Strategy, Consulting and Organisation at ESCP Business School, with the ambition of helping organisations navigate complexity with both structure and creativity. What inspires me most about the Gen Z Observatory is the opportunity to join a community that collectively reflects on the future; within an industry that deeply resonates with me. It is a wonderful opportunity to give voice to diverse perspectives and to better understand the consumers of tomorrow, but also ourselves as a generation.</image:caption>

At the same time, I have always had a passion for creating. As a child, I spent hours sketching and sewing clothes, and later began building websites and writing blogs to express my ideas. For me, creativity has always been a way to make imagination real. Now, as a Master in Management student at HEC Paris, I have discovered that marketing perfectly connects these two sides of me. It begins with curiosity, understanding consumer needs and cultural insights, and comes alive through creativity, transforming understanding into ideas that inspire. I am particularly drawn to the luxury and beauty industries, where diversity and innovation continuously give new meaning to storytelling. Through my marketing internship in the beauty industry and my experience representing Taiwan at the L’Oréal Brandstorm Global Finale, I have witnessed how dynamic and ever-changing Gen Z truly is. This constant evolution fascinates me and drives me to explore the deeper motivations shaping our generation, who will soon become the main consumer group worldwide. As a future marketer, I hope to continue understanding and analyzing Gen Z through diverse cultural perspectives, and to develop the right strategies that help brands grow sustainably. I am truly honored and excited to join the Gen Z Observatory this year, and I hope to turn my curiosity and creativity into meaningful insights that not only help the legendary maison Cartier maintain its relevance and leadership, but also bridge the connection between younger generations and its profound heritage.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Born in the Canary Islands, from a Spanish father and a Japanese mother, I grew up in a house blending languages, laughs, and sports. At 18, I swapped the sunny archipelago for the French capital, which deepened my curiosity and understanding of the world and its people. Hence, “Mr. Worldwide,” an affectionate nickname given by my Norwegian friend. Genuinely curious, I try to stay connected to the latest global insights, whether through The Economist, Monocle Magazine, or simply slower conversations. I find meaning in building bridges between people, cultures, and ideas, and in discovering what connects us beyond our borders. From a Kenyan village to the hills of Sardinia or cities like Tokyo, I’ve discovered that there is always space for surprise and wonder. Now starting my Master in Management at ESCP, I’m seeking not just knowledge but empowerment to contribute meaningfully to global challenges and help drive positive change. I am thrilled to bring these influences to the Gen Z Observatory, and to work alongside others who want to understand our generation’s plurality of voices. Reflecting on how we interpret and share ideas across cultures aligns perfectly with my passion for global dialogue, human connection, and yes, a touch of cosmopolitan optimism.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HEC Paris I am Keke Genio, an exchange MBA student at HEC Paris, originally from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business full-time MBA program, and a first-generation scholar from Indonesia. My journey began with limited access to opportunities, which inspired me to create my own. Over the years, I founded three technology-based startups in tourism, culinary, and smart city sectors. Alongside entrepreneurship, I built a YouTube channel with over 300,000 subscribers, where I share learnings about business and education. These experiences have deepened my passion for understanding how narratives shape mindsets and why people do what they do. Joining the Gen Z Observatory is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with external curators from HEC and ESCP, as well as internal curators from Cartier, to explore how Gen Z redefines identity, purpose, and commitment in today’s world. I aim to contribute my cross-continental experiences from Indonesia, the USA, and now France, connecting diverse generational voices to global insights. With my background in content creation and entrepreneurship, I hope to help the Observatory uncover authentic Gen Z insights that can inspire Cartier’s approach to innovation and impact.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Growing up bilingual, completing my studies in both French and English, and studying in the Netherlands gave me a multicultural outlook that shapes how I see the world. Born and raised in Barcelona, I’m fascinated by the intersection of innovation and society, and by how young people shape identity and culture in a hyperconnected world. I recently moved to Paris to pursue a Specialized Master's in Industry Transformation Management. Stepping out of the comfort zone was a challenge I was excited to embrace, as I saw it as an opportunity to grow academically, professionally, and -most importantly- personally. I aim to bridge the gap between technological progress and evolving economic demands by addressing sustainable innovation and the impact of digitalization. For me, Gen Z Observatory is the perfect space to amplify our generation’s voice and connect it with broader cultural and business conversations. I love exploring social trends, listening to diverse perspectives, and turning them into stories that reflect our diversity. Whether through travel, sports, or social media, I thrive on engaging with communities- something I balance with more introspective moments dedicated to writing and observation, which help me analyze how we evolve as individuals and as a generation. I bring curiosity, creativity, and cultural openness, along with a genuine interest in connecting with people and understanding what drives change.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ESCP Business School Between emotion and rationality, I have pursued a broad and holistic path. Art has always been my anchor: I worked as an art restorer, bringing paintings and sculptures back to life and photography hasbecome my personal language, a way to feel at home everywhere, preserving the roots and emotions that shaped who I am. After focusing on Sustainability during my bachelor’s degree and gaining professional experience as a Sustainability Consultant, I am now pursuing a Master in Management at ESCP Business School, specialising in Marketing since I felt the need to bringcreativity into my journey. As a photographer and restorer, I have learned the art of noticing; that is why I was particularly drawn to the concept of the Observatory. As its etymology reveals, ob- “toward” and servare “to care for”, to observe means not simply to look but to givemeaning. I am proud to take part in the Cartier Observatory, revealingbeauty and purpose through observation, creation and connection.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier Greetings from Hong Kong! I’ve been with Cartier for over three years, and I’m currently working as a Senior Supply & Demand Planner, focusing on the High-end Watches category across the region. My journey began on the boutique floor, where I spent seven years in luxury retail sales, learning how to connect with clients, understand their behaviour and bring products to life through storytelling. I graduated in Image & Styling, which gave me a foundation in aesthetics, brand identity, and the emotional power of presentation. That background continues to shape how I see Cartier – not just as a Maison of craftsmanship, but as a curator of timeless style and personal expression. Outside of work, I’m a cat lover, a volleyball player, and someone who enjoys the occasional gamble—whether it’s a game of cards or a leap of faith. I’m also a firm believer in the law of attraction and in the power of mindset. A line from a drama once stuck with me: "If you think life is hard, it will be hard. If you think it’s calm, it will be calm." To me, it’s not about what happens—it’s how we choose to see and feel. As times continue to change, Gen Z—as a new generation—is having a strong impact on the world of luxury. Their fresh perspectives, evolving purchasing behaviours, and new reasons for engaging with brands are reshaping the industry. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with voices from different countries and dive into perspectives and information that rarely surface in our day-to-day work.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier I’m Christina, I am half Chinese and half Singaporean, I grew up living in several countries and I come from a jewellery design background at Central Saint Martins, which led me to design Fine and High Jewellery pieces at Louis Vuitton and Dior, and later pursue a diamond gemology degree in GIA. My experiences have deepened my belief that, a gemstone transcends time and Its beauty gets unveiled through the history it carries within, through the many hands that cuts, sharpens and polishes. Now that I’ve joined Cartier China as a High end merchandising coordinator, I am humbly proud to be sharpening one of those facets, by working with exceptional pieces commercially and witnessing them getting treasured and adorned by their new owners. I believe that exchanges like this can spark new ideas and inspirations and so I look forward to connect with everyone on this programme!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier Luxury and fashion have always captivated me, especially for their precision, creativity, and attention to detail. This fascination naturally led me to explore the industry, gaining professional and personal experiences in Paris, Hong Kong, and London, in order to broaden my perspective and help me appreciate different cultures and ways of working. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with iconic maisons such as Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Balenciaga. These experiences allowed me to explore many facets of the luxury sector: analyzing collection performance, supporting merchandising strategies, coordinating international teams, preparing showrooms, and deepening my knowledge of communication within the luxury sector. My studies at Institut Français de la Mode and ESCP Business School gave me both a solid understanding of the creative side of fashion and practical skills in business and management. Beyond work, I care deeply about human connection. Several years ago, I took part in volunteer projects in Peru, and I continue to support students from challenging backgrounds, helping them gain confidence and navigate their professional journeys. These experiences have taught me the value of curiosity, empathy, and keeping purpose in mind in everything I do. I’m thrilled to join the Gen Z Observatory cohort because it offers a unique opportunity to understand how this generation works, thinks, and collaborates. I look forward to gaining insights that will help me support and inspire this generation effectively—both as a collaborator today and, hopefully, as a manager in the future.</image:caption>

After my internship, I spent nearly three years at the High Jewelry manufacture in Paris. In 2019, I moved to New York to join the workshop here, where I've been for the past six years. During my time in the New York workshop, I've had the opportunity to contribute in many ways. Currently, my focus is on managing local production and working on various projects related to after-sale service and High Jewelry production. I love the dynamic nature of my role in our 40-person workshop, where I collaborate with many departments and see incredible jewels every day. It definitely keeps things interesting! I'm very excited to be a part of the Gen Z Observatory project. I'm eager to dedicate time to understanding this generation, as I know I will be working closely with them both now and in the future. Outside of work, I'm a big tennis fan and play regularly, even though finding a free court in NYC is one of the most challenging things! I realized my dream of moving to Paris a year and a half ago and this was made possible by my career with Cartier. I rejoined the Stones Department as Quality Assurance Project Leader for diamonds and colored stones. My mission is to ensure the quality of diamonds and colored gemstones through the implementation of standardization documentation and the monitoring of key performance indicators related to quality and traceability. I’m passionate about all forms of art, particularly dance, and spending time connecting with nature is essential to my well-being. Exploring the world and meeting new people drive my personal growth as well. I’m so excited to be part of the Gen Z Observatory because, being born in 1997 I’ve always felt like I’m in between two generations : Millennials and Gen Z. <image:caption>Cartier Hello from Geneva ! Having grown up a Franco-Swiss across multiple cities across the world, I have developed an openness and curiosity about the world, calling many places home. I grew up in Paris where I attended an international school, surrounded by an expat community from a young age. At 18, I went on to complete my bachelor’s in history at King’s College London and Hong Kong University on exchange. Moving then towards business studies, I completed my master’s in management at the London School of Economics and Bocconi University on exchange. A busy few years moving between London, Hong Kong and Milan – and discovering different cities, languages, foods, and wonderfully colourful people! While I grew up with an inclination towards the world of luxury through the wonderful storytelling of brands’ heritage, and grandparents having forged a career in the press, it was a business project I was able to complete for Cartier during my Masters’ which forged the road towards watchmaking and jewellery as a newfound passion. After completing this business project as a CEMS student, I started in the International Business Partnerships team shortly after my studies. Here, I have had the chance to learn about the crucial role of our Retail Partners in expanding our beautiful Maison’s reach across the world, reaching new cities, neighbourhoods, and clients. In my daily role, I work on supporting fostering synergies with markets, to elevate partnerships by providing co-constructed strategies, guidance, and tailor-made solutions across all external touchpoints, so that every client can experience Cartier at it’s best! I am thrilled to join the Gen Z Observatory and engage in wonderfully inspiring discussions amongst peers of my generation, exploring different subjects around our behavioural and consumption trends, that will shape part of the future world of luxury!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cartier Curiosity has always been my compass. Growing up with the deep cultural roots and ceaseless energy in Mexico City inspired in me the concept of multiplicity and layered identity. That early fascination developed my desire to understand what lies beneath the surface and became the lens through which I see the world. It's the same curiosity that has taken me far from home - from Shanghai to Paris, my international experiences have shaped the way I think. Contemporary art has been a recurring thread in this constant exploration - as I describe it in one word: reflection. Simple yet infinitely complex, it is the catalyst to a dialogue on resonating with the context of an artwork itself interacting with the translation when viewed from an owned perspective. A perspective that when detached from art, lives within our every interaction. Today, as a Product Manager for Jewellery & Eyewear at Cartier Mexico I am able to translate my background and interests into actionable strategies. Ultimately, I see myself as someone who finds beauty in the interplay between intellect and intuition, the concrete and the abstract, and the duality between scaling and depth.</image:caption>
