“Tell us something that has surprised you.” Professor Voyer’s words from our first meeting with the 2024–2025 cohort of curators, that I had the incredible chance to be part of, still profoundly resonate with me. This postulate, that a finding is something that has surprised me, has not only guided my research as Content Curator but also my intellectual development academically, professionally, and personally over this past year.

My time within the Gen Z Observatory changed my perspective on the world around me, revealing layers that I wasn’t aware existed, making me that much more honoured and excited to continue contributing as a Project Manager for External Curators for this new edition of the project.

I am truly grateful for this opportunity and am excited to see how this year’s cohort will surprise us with their findings, build knowledge on our generation, and materialise this new version of the project. Let’s keep deconstructing and depicting our complex shared future.

As for a little background about myself, I was born in Serbia, raised in a French educational milieu, and moved abroad to pursue my studies at 17, before moving thrice more to pursue my endeavours. I am a graduate with two Bachelor’s degrees and will soon be a graduate with two Master’s degrees, jointly from HEC Paris in Management and SciencesPo Paris in Public Affairs. I had the chance to explore dozens of disciplines and make connections which I continue nurturing with peers from the four corners of the globe.

Curiosity has always been my compass. Growing up with the deep cultural roots and ceaseless energy in Mexico City inspired in me the concept of multiplicity and layered identity. That early fascination developed my desire to understand what lies beneath the surface and became the lens through which I see the world. It's the same curiosity that has taken me far from home - from Shanghai to Paris, my international experiences have shaped the way I think.

Contemporary art has been a recurring thread in this constant exploration - as I describe it in one word: reflection. Simple yet infinitely complex, it is the catalyst to a dialogue on resonating with the context of an artwork itself interacting with the translation when viewed from an owned perspective. A perspective that when detached from art, lives within our every interaction.

Today, as a Product Manager for Jewellery & Eyewear at Cartier Mexico I am able to translate my background and interests into actionable strategies. Ultimately, I see myself as someone who finds beauty in the interplay between intellect and intuition, the concrete and the abstract, and the duality between scaling and depth.
